After being diagnosed with a virus there was no cure for in modern healthcare, I was forced to find another way to get better soon. The doctors predicted that it might take up to two years for my body to clean up the virus and that I would just have to live with the symptoms for the time being.

My mother, who grew up in Surinam, took different measures to get me better as soon as possible. We got on the plane to Surinam, where she took me straight to the natives that know exactly what herbs you should use for any health issue you have. They combined different herbs for me, that I had to extract tea from and drink every day. After drinking this for less than a week, all my symptoms were gone and I was completely healed. This was an eyeopening experience and I made it my mission to give access to the rest of the world to traditional Surinamese knowledge and remedies, along with other herbs from Asia and Africa that I started to implement in my daily life.
